April 20 is here and so begins the 2012 Austin Reggae Festival!
If you are going to be part of the fun at Auditorium Shores, here are some important last minute instructions
WEATHER: We may have a few showers on Friday, but the rest of the weekend looks great. The Austin Reggae Festival will continue, rain or shine.
PARKING. Auditorium Shores parking is difficult — and, please remember that you can NOT park at the Long Center. Check out your options here.
IF YOU ALREADY BOUGHT A SINGLE DAY TICKET: Then come to the main gate on the South end of Auditorium Shores.
IF YOU ALREADY BOUGHT A THREE-DAY-PASS: Then come to the Box Office next to the main gate on the South end of Auditorium Shores. We will scan your EventBrite print-out there and give you a wristband.
IF YOU HAVEN’T BOUGHT A TICKET YET. Then you can buy a ticket at the gate for $20 for Friday, April 20 and $20 for Saturday, April 21). Tickets for Sunday, April 22 are only $10 each. Or, buy online here.

GREAT CAUSE: Remember that the Austin Reggae Festival benefits the Capital Area Food Bank. In 2011, the Austin Reggae Festival raised more than $200,000 for this very worthy charity. These funds helped feed more than 600,000 hungry families in Central Texas. Feel the love!
Save on admission fees by purchasing your tickets for the 2012 Austin Reggae Festival before these advance sales close on Thursday night, April 19.

Also . . remember that three-day-passes for the Austin Reggae Festival can only be purchased online and can only be purchased in advance of the event. Three-day-passes are NOT sold on-site at Auditorium Shores.
Advanced sales at Planet K locations in Austin, San Marcos and San Antonio end at closing time on Thursday, April 19. Call your location Planet K store to find their exact hours on this day.
Single day ticket costs increase to $20 per person at the gate for Friday, April 20 and Saturday, April 21.
Finally, remember that tickets are discounted for Sunday, April 22. If you buy in advance, your $15 ticket for Sunday, April 22 allows two-for-one admission. If you buy at the gate, you can purchase a single ticket for Sunday, April 22 for just $10.00.
Ticket sales for the Austin Reggae Festival benefit the Capital Area Food Bank. In 2011, this event helped CAFB raise more than $200,000, thereby providing meals for more than 650,000 hungry families throughout Central Texas.

Friday, April 20 will be mostly cloudy with cooler temperatures in the mid 70s. There is a chance of rain with the passage of a cold front, but rain should be isolated and short lived.
There is still a slight chance for rain Friday evening, but the main issue will be high winds gusting around 20 mph.
Saturday, April 21 will be a much nicer day with clouds clearing out in the afternoon and temperatures in the mid 70′s. It will also be windy, but Saturday should be quite an enjoyable day.
Sunday, April 22 will be the best day of the weekend with sunny skies and temperatures hovering around 80 degrees with light winds.
